Services
We are a group of consultants who provide our expertise and knowledge on accessibility, the DeafBlind community, DeafBlindhood (DeafBlind culture, DeafBlind way of life), and Protactile (a language used by our DeafBlind community).
We offer accessibility solutions; whether you would like improve accessibility virtually (websites, webinars, social media related platforms) or face-to-face/in-person, improve quality of services for your students, employees, customers, and/or community, increase efficiencies within the workplace, institution, school, or community, optimize your processes or increase accessibility performances, we are here for you!
We also offer workshops, presentations, mentoring, and consultations at your prestigious agency on tactile modality and Protactile. Protactile is a socio-cultural philosophy that reflects the DeafBlind world, which includes language (Protactile American Sign Language/tactile modality), the DeafBlind culture, and our community. Through our presentations, workshops, and mentoring we aim to cover the four C's: Culture, Community, Communication, and Connections. Our services provide a significant sense of impact as the audience grasped the importance of such access to communication for the DeafBlind community.
There is a strong need to gain awareness for equity and inclusion for our DeafBlind community. We design our materials that is based on UDL (Universal Design Learning) as a framework. Our presentations can be designed for those who have some knowledge and take interest in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) work through the DeafBlind lens, and/or the DeafBlind world. Our presentations, trainings, workshops, consultation are geared towards those who want to learn more how equity works in order to successfully include the DeafBlind community, DeafBlind (DB) students, DB students at the undergraduate and post graduate levels, professionals, and members of the DeafBlind community.
Through our workshops, we will provide an overview of tactile modalities, the DeafBlind Way and introduce you to its philosophy, culture, and language. We also provide trainings with an introduction to tactile modalities, including Protactile, and to its significance not only to enhance your professional skills and knowledege, but to appreciate and acknowledge the impact of an equitable and inclusive space has on the DeafBlind members of the community.
There are options for hands-on activities, mini group discussions, and a classroom response system (non-technical approach) to keep you engaged during lecture sessions.
Our consultations, workshops, and presentations will benefit not only the members of your agency and enable them to appreciate Protactile, the DeafBlind way, but also benefit the DeafBlind community.
